Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation’s Dementia Specific Curriculum meets all Florida Department of Elder Affairs standards as required by Florida Statute 58A-5.0191.

Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation is approved to train and certify staff working in Adult Day Centers, Hospice, Long-Term Care Institutions, and Assisted Living facilities.

Curriculum includes narrated slides and brief “Check your knowledge” quizzes after each module.

“ALZ1 Training” curriculum objectives:

  • Distinguish between normal aging and memory loss
  • Identify the characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and
  • Communicate effectively with individuals who are living with dementia

For course completion certificate, you must click “COMPLETE” on each slide AND pass the post-test with at least an 80%.
