      Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation’s Dementia Specific Curriculum meets all Florida Department of Elder Affairs standards as required by Florida Statute 58A-5.0191.

      Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation is approved to train and certify staff working in Nursing Homes, Hospice, and Adult Day Care (ADC AD 9768, 9812) until September 09, 2024.

      Curriculum includes narrated slides and brief “Check your knowledge” quizzes after each module.

      “ALZ1 Training” curriculum objectives:

      • Distinguish between normal aging and memory loss
      • Identify the characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and
      • Communicate effectively with individuals who are living with dementia

      For course completion certificate, you must click “COMPLETE” on each slide AND pass the post-test with at least an 80%.
